PS Vita Update 3.52 Is Now Available

Sony has just released PS Vita update 3.52 today. It just came out, although nothing special is involved.

If you log-in to the PS Vita right now, you will be prompted to download update 3.52. You need to download the update before you can visit the PlayStation Store or play online.

The PlayStation Twitter page says PS Vita update 3.52 is "a minor update designed to improve stability". It doesn't appear as if any other things have been added to this update sadly.

PS Vita update 3.52 is only 127MB. It shouldn't take you too long to download it since it doesn't add much other than the improved stability as mentioned above.

Dropbox update v3.0 brings in Material Design

The Dropbox team has pushed v3.0 for the masses! The Dropbox Android app received an update with Material Design only some weeks ago, but it was exclusive to beta users. Today the company decides to take things to the next level and introduce Google’s design language to the masses.

The new update to the Dropbox app is labelled as version 3.0, and the change in design seems to be the only main improvement. This is one huge change, though. The interface looks much cleaner, and the navigation menu makes it much easier to roam around the application. Not to mention, it’s so much easier to find that floating action button, as opposed to looking all over the app just to upload a photo.

Dropbox's latest update is currently rolling out to Google Play Store users. You should get your update soon!

Pick your next phone with Google's new online tool

Google's wants to help you pick your next phone with new online tool

Google has launched a new website aimed at helping people pick out a new Android device. The page asks you to answer a few questions about how you plan to use your device, and then uses that information to make a suggestion.

The process is fairly straight-forward. First, Google will ask what you plan to use your device for, offering 12 options consisting of such things as taking photos, social media, or staying fit (don't worry, you can choose more than one). After each selection, you'll be taken through some questions for that specific task. For example, when I chose "listening to music," Google then asked me how many hours per day I planned on listening, and on speakers or through headphones. After selecting at least three interests, you can then choose which carrier you plan to go with (though this step is optional). Finally, Google will offer up suggestions on which phones you may be interested in, with side-by-side comparisons of each spec sheet.

Overall, the tool is pretty neat. While it may not be quite as effective or necessary for the tech savvy customer, it could be useful for those who just want some help finding something that will fit their needs.

Sony Xperia Z3

Sony today announced that the entire Xperia Z family of smartphones will be receiving Android 5.1, starting in July. The company also touched on other handsets that will be receiving updates soon.

Sony has been on quite the update roll as-of-late with updating the Xperia Z range of handsets up to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Once the update rollout has completed, the company will be moving onto Android 5.1, which will hit the Xperia Z family as well as the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 starting next month.

But Sony isn't done just yet. The announcement also touched on the Xperia M2, Xperia M2 Aqua, noting that both will be directly bumped to Android 5.1. These two smartphones will receive some update love once all above hardware have been updated.

Steam now offers refunds for any game with conditions

If you ever bought a game off Steam and instantly regretted it, now with the latest announcement from Steam, you can refund that game and get your money back!

Starting Tuesday, Steam is offering refunds on any title provided you meet the following conditions: You bought it within two weeks, and you've played it less than two hours. From the announcement:
"You can request a refund for nearly any purchase on Steam—for any reason. Maybe your PC doesn't meet the hardware requirements; maybe you bought a game by mistake; maybe you played the title for an hour and just didn't like it.

It doesn't matter. Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any reason, if the request is made within fourteen days of purchase, and the title has been played for less than two hours. There are more details below, but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look.

You will be issued a full refund of your purchase within a week of approval. You will receive the refund in Steam Wallet funds or through the same payment method you used to make the purchase."
Of course, people will always find a way to get their money back in any way possible whilst playing games for 'free'. For example, trying to finish the game within 2 hours before doing the refund? Or maybe the game is really short that it only takes less than 2 hours to finish? Valve will need to think of a way to prevent users from cheating the system. In the meantime, enjoy you purchases with the hope of a refund if your purchase didn't turn out as you'd expect.
