Swiftkey updated, introduces performance improvements and more

There’s a lot to like about Swiftkey, such as its excellent prediction engine and decent emoji. One area where it’s not so great is its tendency to lag from time to time. Thankfully a new update is rolling out that promises to improve this situation.

In addition to improving overall performance, the update introduces plenty of other bug fixes and improvements that have to do with Yahoo personalization, forced closes and other issues. Here’s the full change log:
  • Improved typing performance
  • Improved translations
  • Improved keyboard loading time
  • Improved Flow performance
  • Fix for the bottom row being hidden in some devices
  • Fixed Yahoo! personalization
  • Fixed background disappearing issue in some themes
  • Fixed various other force closes and crashes
In addition to bringing us plenty of improvements, Swiftkey also has added new themes to its store: Spotlight Purple, Edge Green, Pulse Yellow, Pulse Pink and Hazy Pink. Swiftkey is also holding a sale that applies to many of its existing themes, bringing prices down 33% for a limited time.
