Kamigami no Asobi - Episode 4 [v.P]

Let me do a quick dump and run post of this week's KamiAso ep. because I'm busy preparing for work tomorrow.
This week's focus was my darling Hades.
~Stay away, I will bring misfortune!~
He's a depressing kind of guy, but that's what I like about him.

[Life] I don't have the right bait

Sega's Sonic & All-Stars Racing now free on Google Play

Sonic All-Stars Racing

Sega has just announced that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is now available for free on Google Play. What's more is both new and veteran racers can look to expect more content added to the intense title next week. Wreck-It Ralph and Metal sonic will join the collection of unlockable characters on April 29th.

Not only that, but there'll also be a new World Tour Chapter and Boss Cup Grand Prix to race through. Sega notes that the new pricing model (going free) will improve the title's multiplayer experience by making it available for everyone to download and enjoy. With more racers, modes and tracks planned, it's a sweet offering for those who haven't yet played through races with their favourite characters.

Gamers can even celebrate victories online by recording their races, editing and sharing them on social networks, powered by Everyplay.

Ubuntu 14.10 Named ‘Utopic Unicorn’

utopic-unicorn Ubuntu 14.10 has been named the Utopic Unicorn!

Announcing the moniker on his blog in his traditional alliterative way, Canonical founder Mark Shuttleworth sets out the aim of the release:
“…now’s a good time to stand united in favour of the useful over the uncolike and the utile over the uncous.

Let’s make something amazing. Something unified and upright, something about which we can be universally proud. And since we’re getting that once-every-two-years chance to make fresh starts and dream unconstrained dreams about what the future should look like, we may as well go all out and give it a dreamlike name.
The word ‘Utopic‘ is derived from ‘Utopia‘ and is used to describe a community, society or project that has reached some a shared degree of progress or ‘ideal’. The Unicorn is an animal from mythology generally depicted as Equidae with a lone, long spiralled horn on their heads.

Ubuntu 14.10 for servers and desktops is set for release in October 2014.

Google Hangouts update rolling out, merges SMS and Hangout conversations

Google is rolling out a new update to Hangouts today, which includes several changes such as a new feature that allows SMS and Hangouts conversations to merge together under one place for each of your contacts. There’s also simplified contact lists and much more.

Here are the changes:
  • Merged conversations: SMS and Hangout conversations with the same recipient are now combined into a single conversation. You can control whether you want to send a message via Hangouts or SMS with the flip of a switch, and different message types will be easy to tell apart in the conversation. Of course, you can always merge and unmerge conversations if you’d like.
  • Simplified contact list: now there’s two main sections in contacts — People you Hangout With, and Phone Contacts — making it simpler to navigate, and easier to use for SMS.
  • Homescreen widget: add the Hangouts widget to your homescreen for quick access to your recent conversations.
  • Performance improvements: today’s update includes better quality video calls, as well as improved SMS and MMS reliability.
It usually takes a few days for Google to roll out the update, but you may be lucky enough to get the update sooner then later.

[Life] Cai Guo-Qiang: Falling Back to Earth

What do you think this artwork is telling you?

Haikyuu - Episode 3 [v.P]

My favourite senpai!
 My pretty but arrogant first-years.
 Pffft Kageyama's annoyed face.
 "Never give up!"
I cried at this scene. So much feels in this episode. It made me so happy.

La Corda Blue Sky - Episode 3 [v.P]

This week's episode introduces our golden-haired beauty boy MC: Amamiya Sei, voiced by Mamo (using his fairy/girly voice).
 Yes he's very pretty.
But I still prefer my cello boy.
They got it wrong again this week. You place the bow above the bridge!!! This makes me very angry.
 And.... plot development fast forwarded.

[Life] Wardrobes

This might be a girl thing, where the daughter ransacks her mother's wardrobe or jewellery box or makeup box or shoe stack and never returns the goods that she discovers.

So I was 'digging' through my mother's wardrobe, as any good girl does, and I saw the blue dress pictured above. I instantly fell in love with it.
I have absolutely no recollection of my mother ever wearing that dress before, so I guess it's all green for "borrowing" that dress from mum's wardrobe.
As with all things "borrowed" from mum, the chance of her ever seeing the dress again in her closest is < 1%.
I pride myself in being such an awesome daughter.

Chrome Remote Desktop for Android arrives to Google Play

After a period of beta testing, the new Android version of Chrome Remote Desktop for Android has arrived and makes it easy to remote access your Mac, Chromebook or PC from Android tablets and smartphones. In order to remote access your PC, you’ll first need to download a special Chrome extension for the desktop version of the Chrome browser. Once installed, connecting to any of your computers is a simple affair.

Chrome Remote Desktop is far from the only remote desktop app available for Android, though it’s still a welcome addition. Unlike some of the alternative remote access solutions, Google’s remote desktop software is completely free, though you’ll need an Android device running ICS 4.0 or higher to use it.

Get the app from the Play Store now! You will also need to download the Chrome Remote Desktop extension for Google Chrome if you want to remotely connect to your desktop.

Chrome Beta update lets you 'undo' a closed tab

Chrome Beta

For those who are using the beta version of Chrome on Android will be receiving an update today with a small, but useful, set of features. First up is the ability to "undo" an accidental tab closure — something that we're all used to being able to do on desktop browsers. Next is improvements to the video player, letting your phone or tablet make use of HTML5 full-screen video with subtitles and on-screen playback controls.

The update also includes support for the multi-window features on some devices (although which ones aren't specified), as well as support for sending some videos from the browser to Chromecast directly. The update is now available from the Play Store now!

XP is dead

Today is the day that we have been waiting (or fearing) for. The day that Microsoft officially ends support for Windows XP. So, if you haven't upgraded to Windows 7 or newer yet, this is the time to do so. If you feel like trying something new and exciting, give Linux a go; especially Linux Mint or Ubuntu.
