I Don't Want to
My advice to all Android owners: Just root it. Why root your device? For many reasons.

For the average user: rooting enables you to be able to back-up your app's save data for your Angry Birds game. Also, rooting also allows you to download ad-blocking apps that help block those pesky ads that always appear in apps.

For the advanced user: why haven't you rooted it already? Well, rooting your phone allows you to install custom ROMs onto your device as well as tweaking the various settings that are hidden from the average user.
