Anime Review: Hagure Yuusha no Estetica

If you just want plenty of fan service and don't care less about everything else then Hagure Yuusha no Estetica will definitely meet your needs. This is the perfect anime for the otaku fanatic.

Hagure Yuusha no EsteticaSynopsis:

Hero defeats bad guy. Good triumphs over evil. The end. Or, at least that's how it usually goes. But what happens after the hero goes home? Our hero, Akatsuki Ousawa, is about to find out that sometimes the greatest adventure starts once happily ever after ends.

This is not an ordinary action fantasy ecchi anime like any other anime previously, and just from it's synopsis, you can tell that it takes a different direction that most anime. You have to be a otaku fanatic to actually enjoy this anime to the fullest. Why? Because it contains horrendous amounts of action, plenty of unnecessary ecchi moments, random laughs and silly expressions, an awesomely cool and overly powerful main character with a harem, and finally elemental weapon wielding high school kids. It is like otaku heaven in a short 12 episode series. In short, the whole anime is pretty much fan service to the max.

The was was brilliantly illustrated and smoothly animated. Watching the anime in high definition was just exciting to watch. The characters looked great despite their generic stereotypical personality portrayals. The backgrounds and sceneries were really well done and the various weapons that the character wield were unique. The characters facial expressions were full of life and accurately detailed.

The theme songs were quite good and suited the anime really well. As for voice acting, it was perfect for the characters. I noticed there were quite a few popular voice actresses that were used for some of the female characters in the anime which was a enjoyable listening experience. They brought life to the characters in unimaginable ways. As for everything else, the sound effects were brilliantly transposed and background music was energizing.

Akatsuki Ousawa was an awesome character. Unlike your average ecchi anime where the main character is either a jerk, huge pervert, or gets embarrassed easily; Akatsuki is totally the opposite. He is cool, calm, and collected and also quite smart. He is not a jerk, nor a huge pervert, and he is quite thoughtful and cares a lot about his friends. He is also quite overly powerful which is an added bonus. Miu Ousawa is also another lively character which brings life to the anime.

Overall, I can say at the very least, this anime had plenty of fan service that will entertain and excite your emotions. If you are a heavy otaku, then you definitely will find this anime fun to watch. I must say though, that the anime does have a bit too much unnecessary ecchi moments, so do prepare for that. That aside, the action was quite good and the story was decent.

The story starts off like an epilogue of a much larger story, however it doesn't get in the way of the entertaining fan service.

ART: 9
It was excellently animated and illustrated. No complaints here.

Voice acting was excellent for all of the characters. Theme songs were appropriate to the theme.

The characters were full if life and really appealing to watch.

Plenty of fan service here to go around. No boring bits. Ever.

This anime is definitely not for everyone because of it completely being fan service after fan service.
