I'm actually quite excited here. The Nexus 9 is the world's first tablet that will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop. If you don't know much about the latest operating system by Google, you're missing out. The UI has been overhauled with amazing transitions and the use of Material Design.
The Nexus 9 packs a 8.9-inch screen. Google claims that this is the "perfect size" for a tablet; and I'm going to take their word for it. It's slightly bigger than an iPad mini but smaller than any other large tablet on the market. It's an "in-betweener" so we'll see how it goes.
Processor and RAM
Nexus 9 comes with nVidia's Tegra K1 64-bit dual-core chip that is clocked at 2.3GHz. It's going to powerful and fast; probably nothing we've experiences before. The Nexus 9 also packs in 2GB RAM for better multitasking.
As usual with other Nexus products, the Nexus 9 comes in 16GB or 32GB variants. Pity Google didn't include a 64GB variant; but maybe we'll see it being included in the future. Lack of an MicroSD card will mean you'll have to watch your storage wisely. Then again, nearly everything is on the cloud now right?
I'm not a big fan of taking pictures using a tablet; it just feels uncomfortable. Well, the Nexus 9 includes a standard 8 MP rear camera with a 1.6 MP front. I'm not expecting much from the camera as it's just there for convenience.
