The iPhone 5S includes updated components, comes in three colors, and includes a fingerprint sensor to unlock the device and make purchases. It will retail for $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, or $399 for 64GB, all with a contract. The iPhone 5C, which is made of plastic, starts at $99 for the 16GB version or $199 for 32GB with a two-year contact.
Preorders start Friday. The devices will be available in stores on September 20.
You can read the rest of the article at CNET. However, in my opinion, Apple could be losing it's "edge' it once had with their previous products. Android came swiftly and dominated the smartphone market with low and mid-end products. With Android smartphones being really affordable, Apple's sales began to decline.
Will this move actually take back that market share from Android? Who knows? Google probably does and with Android 4.4 in the works, something could be erupting.
