Mandora

So I started playing a game on Android called Mandora. It is a game requiring fast reaction and timing skills.

Simply put, the aim of the game is to harvest "Mandoras" by flicking them. However you must wait until the Mandora is ripe before you can do so. Leave it too late and it will wither and rot.

Oh, and there are also bonus points, combos and special Mandoras to pluck.

I managed to get a high score of over 60K! I was so surprised I had to share it with everyone. =D

Seiyuu appreciation post: Morikawa, KENN and Tomozaku

Morikawa Toshiyuki updated his blog this afternoon and he posted a few interesting pictures, including one where KENN (left) and Tomozaku Sugita (right) were making silly poses.

[Lyrics] IN FUTURE!! - Yuutaku II 「ゆーたくⅡ」

Basic info:

"Yuutaku II" 「ゆーたくⅡ」 is a unit comprised of two seiyuus, Ono Yuuki and Eguchi Takuya. Their two-sided debut single is called 『third Wizard/IN FUTURE!!』. The song "third Wizard" is used as the main theme song of the radio show "What will I do? What will I be!? Yuutaku II" 「どうする?どうなる!?ゆーたくⅡ」, and their second song "IN FUTURE!!" is used as a ending song of the anime Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes.

Comments:

I found these two songs to be very upbeat and catchy. It's full of fun and energy (especially in their PV, they act pretty childish/silly).
You can download a sample of this single here.

Description: Kanji lyrics and Romaji lyrics of Yuutaku II's song "IN FUTURE!!".
Note: English translation coming soon.

My Holiday: Miku playing cards

Hey guys!

I'm actually away on holiday overseas and I didn't bring my laptop with me. I decided to try relying on my phone and Nexus 7 to get everything done.

Here is a welcoming present my cousin gave me when I arrived. It is a pack of Miku playing cards. I've decided to share one card a week for a year. 52 cards. 52 weeks.

Anyhow, I won't be blogging much but I will try to post stuff if I can.

Say hi to Mr. Jingles!

Jingles
Google+'s notification system now has an official mascot! Introducing...Mr. Jingles.

A couple days ago the little notification identifier switched from a number (which Facebook appears to have adopted for unread posts, by the way) to a bell with a rather cute smiley face. Why Mr. Jingles? Because Google calls him that. Blaze through all of your notifications and click on Jingles, and he does a fun little dance.

Jingles has just hit the Android app for Google+ as well. And along with it comes a new button to mark all of your notifications as read. It looks like a little bar graph, and it's now on the web version of Google+, too. Tap it or click it, and your notifications shall bother you no more.

The update should be rolling out now.

[Piano Sheet Music] Happiness by Aijima Cecil (Uta no Prince sama Maji Love 2000%)

I'm really on a roll with transcribing songs this week. Here's Happiness, Cecil's second song in his character single of UtaPri Maji Love 2000%. This is a really cool song if you can just ignore Cecil's annoying voice. Also, I think the bass line is really fun and awesome.
Again please support me here by giving me rating stars. Thanks!

[Piano Sheet Music] Devil Survivor 2 The Animation OST 1 Track 7 終焉への幕開け

I got my hands on a copy of the Devil Survivor 2 The Animation first OST today, and absolutely fell in love with it! So as I'm having an artist block and can't draw, I decided to show my love by transcribing one of the songs. It's track 07 - 終焉への幕開け (From beginning to end).
Also, show your support by clicking here and give me some stars!

Gackt releases PV for his new song Sakura Chiru

Yesterday, Gackt released the music video for his new song Sakura Chiru (Cherry Blossoms Fall) from his compilation album "BEST OF BEST vol.1-MILD-". The video contains footage of Moon Saga Yoshitsune Hiden (Moon Saga: The Secret of Yoshitsune), his stage play collaboration with CLAMP, which Gackt co-created, wrote, directed, and starred in the lead role of Minamoto no Yoshitsune.
Enjoy his powerful and beautiful voice~ This song's style reminds me of his older song Setsugekka.

Google reveals “Project Loon”, set to bring balloon-powered Internet to the world

Google on Friday has taken its quest to bring the Internet to the entire world one step closer with the unveiling of “Project Loon”. Project Loon is another idea that comes from the Google X labs, and is designed to connect even people in the most remote regions of the globe to the Internet, via giant balloons that circle the globe at 60,000 feet in the air.

The balloons are made of polyethylene, run completely on solar power, are 15 metres wide and weigh about 22 pounds, providing Internet at speeds which are “similar to today’s 3G networks or faster”.

Since the balloons will drift, Google uses “complex algorithms and lots of computing power” to ensure that “when one balloon leaves another enters,” meaning that the balloons are always where they are needed.

The balloons communicate with “specialized antennas” on the ground, simultaneously communicating with other balloons up in the air and the ground station, which is connected to the local Internet service provider, creating a “network in the sky

Android 5.0 “Key Lime Pie” UI Concepts Hitting the Web

Android KLP
As we approach the rumored date for Android 4.3′s launch on June 20 (at least, that’s what our sources say), many have already come to the realization that we should not expect Google to introduce a new interface for the OS. It will still be called Jelly Bean and nothing too crazy will happen. What most in the business have their money on is that we can expect to see Google change up Android’s look in the iteration after next, being Android 5.0 “Key Lime Pie.” That’s when we will see some new colors, icons, wallpapers, etc. take place.

Graphic designers appear to be already creating their very own concepts for what they would like to see in Android 5.0, playing more with lockscreen widgets and revising the Android homescreen look. Artist Jinesh Shah took to his Google+ page recently to post up a few pictures of his own ideas, some of which we have become big fans of. While it comes off as minimal and clean, there is enough information on any given homescreen and the lockscreen to give off the sense that this concept would be highly functional and practical for users.

The lockscreen widget shows a comprehensive look at this user’s upcoming meeting, even showing a map preview of its location. Below that, we can see upcoming flight details, all of which would be able to be customized under new settings that would come with KLP. As for the homescreen changes, what sets this concept apart from others is the idea of “hidden” widgets. With swipes and other gestures, you could reveal other widgets that don’t necessarily have to be on your homescreen when not being used. It’s a fantastic concept, one that we probably wouldn’t mind seeing implemented.

Karneval #11 Screencaps

Just wanted to post this Karneval appreciation post. While I have said that the storyline of Karneval is somewhat boring and confusing, I have to acknowledge the extremely beautiful and sparkly artwork of this anime.

Google+ update rolling out with new notifications and other tweaks

New Google+ notifications
An updated notification interface is now rolling out to Google+ on the web and through the official Android app. First up, notification sync is coming to Google's social network, and reading or dismissing a notification on one device or platform will register the change across all platforms. (Google recently announced something similar for Cloud Messaging in Android at Google I/O.)

And the notification UI has been given a fresh coat of paint, too. A new bell icon makes it easier to see if there are any new notifications waiting, and notifications are grouped based on whether they've been read or not.

Google's also used this opportunity to roll out some new features and tweaks elsewhere in Google+.  For instance, it's now possible to delete photos from directly in the "photos" view. Reshares are now shown alongside comments and +1's in the post view. And the left-hand menu has been redesigned to fit with the new look seen in other Google apps, such as Gmail.

Uta no Prince sama Maji Love 2000% - Episode 11 [v.P]

MARRY ME TO~KI~YA~N <3

Gameloft shows stunning graphics in Asphalt 8: Airborne

All driving game aficionados will be pleased to hear that Gameloft is working on the next installment in the Asphalt series and the graphics look stunning! Asphalt 8: Airborne, which is scheduled to be released this summer, includes new maps, a new physics engine, and new weather effects. Dubbed “Airborne” because of the off ramps that launch your car into the air for some spectacular stunts, the new game will only cost $0.99 when released!

The game will feature eight maps in total. Seven of these are completely new and include the Nevada desert, the city streets of London, the water-soaked streets of Tokyo and frozen tracks from Iceland. The eighth map is a revamped version of the Monaco track from Asphalt 7, something that will please fans of the current installment.
Asphalt8_3_645px
Asphalt 8 will also feature some heavy duty multiplayer options including both synchronous and asynchronous modes. Takedown mode is returning and there are also two new multiplayer game modes called Gate Drift and Infected. In Gate Drift mode you challenge your friends in a “drift” race through multiple gates with more more being earned when you get through a gate. The Infected multiplayer mode is a came of chase. One player starts as the “infected” player and must hit another car to pass on the infection before their health fails. Doesn't sound too hard? Well you only have 20 seconds to pass on the infection before you are knocked out of the game!

When using an asynchronous multiplayer mode, something that has been popular in games like Real Racing 3 and GRID 2, you can compete against your friend even when they are offline. In short this time shifted mode allows you to compete against your friends previous best performances which are simulated while you are racing.

Ichinose Tokiya's character single ranked 6th on first day of release

Kind of disappointed at the result, I was hoping Tokiya would end up around 4th. Where are all the Japan fangirls? What are they doing? They should be buying shipments of Tokiya's CD.
