What is a Browser?

It seems like many people are confused between a search engine and a browser. In this interesting video, 8% of the participants knew what a browser was. Many people thought that a browser was a search engine. This goes to show many people surf the web but do not know what they are actually using. In the end, they were recommended to use Google Chrome. What a great (and sneaky) way of promoting the Chrome browser to the crowd! Anyhow, check out the video, if you are a tech geek like me, you may find this video humorous.

Vocaloid x V-rock Collection

Earlier this year, around July, an album of Vocaloids covering popular Visual Kei songs, titled I LOVE Visualizm feat. Miku Hatsune, was released by Machigerita. The relationship between Vocaloids and Visual Kei music soon became a two-way relationship when an album of famous Visual Kei bands covering popular Vocaloid songs was released in September of the same year. This album is titled Vocaloid x V-rock Collection. You can try a sample of it here.

Let us know your thoughts about this album after you've sampled it.
Overall, I enjoyed this album and I think the bands put in obvious effort to make the songs sound good. It's difficult to make a direct comparison of this adaptation to the original songs. The VK bands added some of their unique twists to the original songs which I thought was an interesting perspective. However, I still just as enjoy listening to the original versions sung by our beloved Vocaloids.

Google+ for Android updated once again

Google+ for Android has updated one again. This time it improves on user experience and bug fixes. Check out the changes below:

  • Google+ page owners can view, post and comment from mobile
  • Discover people and topics more easily using 'Find people'
  • Access photos from posts with 1-click
  • New Home screen Widget re-design
  • Additional bug fixes and performance improvements
I particularly like how Google+ page owners can view, post and comment on their page from their mobiles now. As a Google+ page owner as myself, I find it pretty annoying not being able to check updates to my page from my phone, so this update was quite a relief to me. To new 'Find people' feature is also quite handy for finding new friends. Lastly, additional bug fixes and performance improvements have been made.

You can grab the update now from the Play Store.
